July 28th.... Today is a happy Day because it is the birthday of our oldest son Robbie and it is a day of celebration but it is also a sad day because he was killed in a farm accident 41 years ago and is no longer with us (except in our hearts). The loss of a child is a very difficult thing to survive but we have joy from having him in our lives if even for just a short 2 1/2 years. For many years I worried about something happening to the few precious photo's we had of him and I always intended to get them into a safety deposit box in our bank but it just didn't happen. But now, I am at peace because I have told Robbie's life story and our story about him and the joy he brought to us.
